A new version of Guns N' Roses song "Better" have been played the last couple of days on the Texas-based radio station Q94.5Rocks.

People who have contacted the station have been told that this is not a demo nor the leak that have been circulating on the internet. According to the them, this is an official release (radio edit) of "Better" sent to them by Guns N' Roses' record company to play in heavy rotation. Ever since they started playing the new "Better" it's the most requested song.

Tim Ferriss - The Four Hour Work Week

According to Tim Ferriss, you shouldn't be working more than 4 hours a week to live like a king. Sounds a little ridiculous at first, but the possibility of this is more than intriguing. Whether you are an overworked employee or an entrepreneur trapped in your own business, this book is the compass for a new and revolutionary world called the New Rich. Tim Ferriss teaches you:

• How to outsource your life to overseas virtual assistants for $5 per hour and do whatever you want
• How blue-chip escape artists travel the world without quitting their jobs
• How to eliminate 50% of your work in 48 hours using the principles of a forgotten Italian economist
• How to trade a long-haul career for short work bursts and freuent "mini-retirements"
• What the crucial difference is between absolute and relative income
• How to train your boss to value performance over presence, or kill your job (or company) if it’s beyond repair
• What automated cash-flow “muses” are and how to create one in 2 to 4 weeks
• How to cultivate selective ignorance—and create time—with a low-information diet
• What the management secrets of Remote Control CEOs are
• How to get free housing worldwide and airfare at 50–80% off
• How to fill the void and create a meaningful life after removing work and the office

The book is also available as an ebook or you can grab the audiobook here:

Silversun Pickups - Carnavas

The Silversun Pickups are a post-grunge band hailing from California that features a singer with a very girly voice. Their latest single Lazy Eye is in frequent rotation on Toronto's 102.1 The Edge radio station, and they are a band that has really grown on me. Their 2006 album Carnavas is a great collection of 90s-esque rock songs such as Waste It On and Checkered Floors. The real highlight of this album for me is a fast driving electronic-rock song titled Future Foe Scenarios. Give their album a listen and see what ya think.

The Secret

About a year ago I read a post on an internet forum about a new video called The Secret. Numerous posts about this topic emerged about how it changed peoples lives and how they now see the world differently. I gave in to the hype and watched the video. While it was corny and overproduced, it was pretty powerful and well thought out. The Secret wasn't really a secret. It is about a principle known as the Law of Attraction. It tells us that our thoughts create reality and if we have a lot of negative thoughts, it creates a lot of negative energy thus creating a lot of things that we don't want in our lives.
Since then I had left The Secret alone (not forgotten, just haven't really thought about it). That is until it began popping up everywhere! It has been featured on Oprah a number of times since February, the book is a No 1 seller in North America, and people are starting to ask me if I've heard of it.
It is available in the form of an online video, a dvd, a book or an audiobook. I would recommend it to anyone / everyone that is the least bit curious as to how they might improve any aspect of their lives. But remember, watch it with an open mind.

Jerry Seinfeld at the Cannes

It's been nine years since Seinfeld aired its last episodes, but comedian Jerry Seinfeld is back this year with a new animated movie from Dreamworks titled Bee Movie. Jerry will be playing the voice of a bee. Hahaha, that's awesome. He jumped down from an eight story hotel yesterday (held up by cables of course) in a bee costume to promote the movie. Best of luck to Jerry at the Cannes, it's better than watching another Michael Moore film.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Baby 81

Released on May 1st, 2007, Baby 81 is the new album from BRMC. The album as a whole isn't quite as solid as their previous efforts of Howl and their debut album but their first single Weapon of Choice is among my personal favs by this great band. Other highlights of this album include Berlin and 666 Conducer. BRMC will be playing the Kool Haus in Toronto on May 26th (guess who scored a pair of tickets :D

GnR Leaks from May 5th 2007

On May 5th, 2007 there were 4 new Guns N' Roses leaks available on the net. Chinese Democracy, The Blues, IRS and There Was A Time were all released and are slightly different than previous leaks. All are studio quality but are not 100% guaranteed to be the final copy. Since there are still people looking around for these leaks, I thought I'd post a link on here.
